The Crisis Intervention Program provides immediate assessment, intervention, management, and treatment to individuals experiencing psychological and or emotional distress as the result of a crisis situation. The goal is to reduce psychiatric hospitalizations and restore individuals to an adequate level of functioning after they experience an acute episode of distress over real life issues. Crisis intervention is available 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Services include screening, assessment, referral and linkage, brief counseling, and consultation.
