Kayla Button, MSW, LCSW | Director of Child and Adolescent Services | Outpatient Therapist
Kayla Button is The Director of Child and Adolescent Services and a full time Outpatient Therapist. Kayla has received her Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago with a specialization in Mental Health. Kayla received her Bachelor of Social Work at Olivet Nazarene University where she also had her second major in Spanish. While attending ONU Kayla studied in Spain and Puerto Rico.
Kayla has worked with a variety of clients from birth to geriatrics, though she specializes in working with adolescents and young adults in crisis. Prior to getting her master’s degree, Kayla worked at KC-CASA as their Bi-Lingual Sexual Assault Counselor, working with all ages at the agency as well as females in incarceration. She also participated in the formation of the Kankakee Iroquois Human Trafficking Task Force. She continues to volunteer on KC-CASA’s crisis line. Kayla also is a volunteer counselor with the Teen Moms Hope program based in Kankakee, serving teen moms in Kankakee and Iroquois county.
Kayla is originally from the Metro Detroit area and currently resides in Kankakee. When she's not working, you’ll probably find Kayla in the gym or spending time with friends and family. Kayla also loves traveling, camping, and the outdoors.
